Description
This course provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience in Scrum, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical application of Agile frameworks. Students will engage in Scrum ceremonies, facilitate Agile processes, and lead teams through iterative development cycles. The course emphasizes real-world practice, ensuring students gain experience in resolving impediments, coaching teams, and driving Agile adoption.
Students will participate in simulations and hands-on exercises that replicate real project environments. By the end of this course, students will have the confidence and skills to serve as an effective ScrumMaster and will be prepared to take and pass the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) exam.
You will cover the following:
- Define Scrum theory, teams, artifacts, events, and principles.
- Perform the responsibilities of a ScrumMaster by facilitating Scrum events and coaching teams.
- Apply conflict resolution, servant leadership, and team facilitation techniques to enhance Scrum team collaboration and productivity.
- Identify impediments to ensure smooth sprint execution and continuous improvement.
- Lead real-world Scrum projects, applying backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative delivery techniques.
- Demonstrate exam readiness through applied knowledge, hands-on practice, and a structured CSM exam preparation process.
Target Audience
This self-paced course is designed for adult learners seeking to upskill or reskill in Scrum, particularly those with prior experience in Agile or traditional project management who want to strengthen their knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks for managing projects. The course is well suited for working professionals, career changers, and lifelong learners aiming to advance their Agile and Scrum knowledge and skills to support career growth and to prepare for taking and passing the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) exam.

After successfully completing the course, learners will receive a certificate of completion.
Learning Prerequisites
There are no specific course prerequisites. You will need to have English language fluency. Prior project management knowledge or experience is encouraged.
Technical Prerequisites
The course will take place on the Global Learn Canvas LMS. You will need the ability to log on to the platform, preferably using Google Chrome, to complete the content, which will include videos, readings, and assignments.
- Hardware requirements: Desktop or laptop computer, keyboard and mouse.
- Software: Google Chrome web browser; access to https://csugloballearn.instructure.com/; Microsoft Office or similar; email.
Course Lifecycle and Access
After registering, you will receive an email confirming your registration. You will be granted access to the course, which includes complete course information. Please check the course listing for additional information on course access dates. For self-paced courses, learners will have access for 180 days after registration.
Tuition Remission

Refund Eligibility
Students are eligible for a refund under the following conditions:
- Timeframe: The written refund request is received within 7 calendar days of the initial date of purchase/enrollment in the course.
- Course Progress: The student has not accessed more than 20% of the course content, as tracked by the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Completion: No Certificate of Completion or Digital Badge has been issued for the course.
Refund Request Process
To request a refund, students must submit a written request to [Email Address] including their full name, order number, and reason for withdrawal.
Processing Time: Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method within 14 business days.
